Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics

Welcome to FdSEW, Curacao's leading Business School

With an emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, collaborative research and social responsibility, SEF is ideally positioned to address the challenges of a rapidly changing business environment, in Curacao and the World. Our guiding philosophy – pursuing excellence in values knowledge and skills –has established SEF as a leader among the Dutch Caribbean Business Schools.

SEF provides both local and international experiences across a range of Business Administration. SEF’s innovative outlook has provided international access by means of the bachelor master structure programs, first of their kind in the Dutch Caribbean. The Faculty has also developed key methods which directly introduces freshman into the way of thinking required for a successful professional.

Throughout their academic programs, SEF students will develop competencies that will enhance the opportunities they will face. Across the Caribbean and Latin America, our students soak up key lessons from both established and emerging economies and political powers.
Their courses are also designed to not only be able to fit into already existing organizations but to also partake in new ventures. Aside from this they also learn on regional affairs and analyze economic complexities within the CARICOM and dynamics between Caribbean Small Island Developing States and their former colonizers. They partake in internships that expose them to real life applications of their knowledge. During their journeys our students learn about new cultures, and from those experiences they gain a broad understanding of the economic and social issues that influence markets.

This all is possible on the beautiful island many of our students call home, allowing possibilities unmatched by our foreign competitors.
